Cacao Gluten Free Banana Bread Recipe

flax egg or real egg

coconut oil

coconut sugar

dark chocolate chips

raw organic cacao powder

baking powder

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F / 175 C.
Mash bananas in a mixing bowl with a potato masher or a fork until smooth. Add egg and coconut oil together and stir well.
In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients (coconut flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cocoa powder, salt, sugar).
Add dry ingredients to banana mixture and mix until all ingredients are combined. Pour into a lightly greased loaf pan or small cast iron skillet.
Sprinkle the 60% dark chocolate chips on top of the mixture (optional).
Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top of the bread is firm and a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
Serving size is based on using a small cast iron skillet.
